So today I power washed the house and the hardscape surrounding the house. We have wild kingdom around here. I live in a 30 years old+ subdivision is a very large suburb in upstate New York. Youd never know it. There are red birds, yellow birds, a ton of brown birds, some blue birds and I quite obviously dont know any of the names. They are birds and the red ones live in my Arborvitae. The only names I do know are ducks and geese. I thought Canadian Geese are suppose to fly north for the summer? Oh, I can identify the owl I hear hooting and the woodpeckers I hear pecking. Im telling you wild kingdom. Marlin Perkins could have hosted a show in my backyard.
We bought the power washer last year at Big Lots when it was on sale. We had had concrete poured four summers ago and wanted to reseal it. Since the job would have cost us $2K to outsource, we figured wed get a power washer, the sealer and a lambswool brush and pole and do it ourselves. We ended up finding the sealer at Sears Hardware on clearance for under $5 a can (no idea why they clearanced it, they are carrying the same can this year for $20). Final cost including the power washer was under $300.
And, I have a power washer to play with.

Kraft Mayo, 2/$6. A recent Sunday insert had a $1/2 coupon (exp. 04/30) - which would make these $2 each.

Cottonelle 12-packs are $6.49, and the $1/1 coupon from the 03/15 SS would make it $4.49, less than $0.40/ultra double roll.

Healthy Ones Lunch Meats are 2/$6. Use the $0.75/1 from the 02/01 SS to make them $1.50 each.

I received a comment in an earlier post regarding the Walmart Freebie on Febreze posted HERE and that when they checked their store in Pasadena it was not on rollback and was still priced at $6.23 so I decided to check it out in my area. I felt it was my duty as Southwest Coupon Clipper working hard to find savings for YOU!! When I arrived I walked straight back to the cleaning supply area located in the grocery section where 2 employees were stocking a display at the end of the aisle. I looked in the aisle and on endcaps for any rollback and still no Febreze so I went straight to the Febreze area and just like my reader said, No Sale, No Nothing, it was priced $6.23. What is up with that? So I asked the employees where their price checker was located on this side of the store since we all know that not every store clearly marks their sales items even though all stores can vary on prices. They went to where the product was located and said, "It's $6.23" I said, "I see that, but I think it might be on sale and just want to make sure so I just want to check it on one of the price scanners." The employees then looked at each other annoyed and then looked at me and said, "No, it's not on sale, it's $6.23. See there is no sales tag, it's $6.23" I said thank you politely and then proceeded to walk to the other side of the store where I knew a price checker was located at the end of one of the aisles and check for myself. Once I got there, I saw an extremely polite employee and asked, "Didn't a price checker use to located here?" She said, no it's the next aisle, but I think that is around $4 something." My eyes lit up and I said, "Over in the grocery section it says $6.23, but there is no sales tag." She then said, Oh no the one you're looking for is in the ATOMIC AISLE in the middle of Domestics. I loved her description of the ATOMIC AISLE where they have complete rollback all the way down. We walked to the end of the aisle and THERE IT WAS - Febreze Kits - a whole display - center aisle on Rollback from $10.37 to $4.84. I could not thank her enough for being so polite and helpful. I do not use this product and if it was FREE I would have bought more to donate, but I did buy one for this post. If you use this, what a great deal!! Good luck finding one and remember sometimes you might know a little more than some of the employees and sometimes they know more than you which can be extremely helpful and result in cost savings.

I get asked all the time about how I organize my coupons - so here goes!  I tried several different methods, but after some trial and error, I've come up with a system that works for me.
1.  I have a Case It Binder that has baseball card holders in the main compartment and also has files in the front and back and a place for pens, calculator, scissors.  Inside this binder I file all the miscellaneous coupons I print from different sources, peelies from grocery products, etc.  I have them arranged by product type -( ie: breakfast, beverages, health beauty, etc. )  I patterned the different sections based on the primary sections in your typical grocery store.
2.   In the beginning, I tried to cut every coupon and file it, but since I buy duplicates of newspapers that have good inserts, this became TOO much!  Now I have hanging file folders in my desk drawer with each date tabbed. Inside each folder is that days inserts. I also write the date on the front of each insert just to make sure.  When I'm ready to get my coupons together for a shopping trip, I cut what I need and leave the rest.
3.  I tried taking my entire binder with me on shopping trips, but for me, it was way too cumbersome.  If I lived in a rural location where I didn't have close access to all the big stores, I would probably still take it - but I'm close to everything!  I put all the coupons I've clipped for that trip in its own envelope - CVS, Walgreens, Target, etc. - along with a list of what I'm purchasing, how much the regular price should be, the coupon amount I have clipped and what the bottom line price is.  This way, I don't mistakenly pick up the wrong size item and pay more.
That is pretty much it in a nutshell!  Like I said, after trying a lot of different things, this is the easiest for me. I'm dilligent about cutting the ones that go in the binder and labeling the others that go in the file.  Organization is the key to making this work and believe me, I WAS NOT the most organized person in the world before I started collecting coupons. I've found that the harder I work on organizing ahead of time, the quicker my trips to each store are and the more fruitful they are.
